La Grande Community Garden

Address: S. 18th & S. G st. Tacoma, Washington

The La Grande garden is owned and managed by the Guadalupe Land Trust. A majority of the plots are gardened by Southeast Asian immigrants and thus lends itself to interesting and diverse produce and gardening techniques. This site has a strong Board of Directors that is active in fundraising and recently received a grant for a water catchment system that will collect rainwater for use in the garden.
